The Purpose of all Gifts

If my God grants me a gift,
I must use it.
Not for my well being,
But for His glory.

That is the purpose of all gifts from God.
To glorify Him,
By raising up His Church,
Through teaching,
Through prayers,
Through writing,
Through healing,
Through singing.

In all of these God is to be glorified.
Not he who has received the gift.
It is human nature to be confused,
And commend the one with the gift.
It is the gifted ones’ responsibility,
To humble himself.
And glorify God
by thanking Him publicly for the gift.

We know in the world,
This is foolishness.
But we are not here ,
To live in the world for ourselves.
We are here to glorify God,
And care for our brothers and sisters all.

The song says“How great Thou art”
It is truth.
Let us be truthful
And give the glory to God.
