If I for a moment thought we could trust the Chinese to do so it would be a good plan. But this would require the combination of two things. Politicians and money. Never a good mixture.

Personally I will try not to buy any religious articles that say "Made in China" And this is harder than I care to think about.

Maybe, we can suggest to the Chinese muckety-mucks to permit that we will pay to have the kids returned to Mom and Dad. You know, auction off the 'right of return' - :) In fact, they can apply our donations to our outstanding loans from them, huh?

How're tricks, TarBaby!

This saddens me and sickens me. It is as if the Chinese government has found a way to make money from the sale of "illegal" children.

I think this calls for more than a moratorium on adoptions of children from China. Of course I shudder to think what will happen to these children if we don't allow adoptions. So perhaps maybe we should make adoptions of these children easier and faster. After isn't a child's life worth more than $3000 to $5000? As an adoptive parent I will proudly say that adoption is a true blessing. I'm very proud of my adopted son.

But I ask all of you out there to take a look at the plastic Rosary you picked up at your Church, the religious medal you have or are about to purchase. perhaps even the statue or icon you have in your house. Look at where it is made at.

Surprised? Shocked? Or just didn't realize that a communist country like China produced so many religious articles.

I have a Crucifix on my desk that plainly says "Made in China". And I got for making a donation to a Catholic Charity.
