Let's see, here: the US government who is trying to tell the Catholic Church to accept abortion funding or be fined into submission is going to tell China that they cannot tell the private individual to accept abortion and not get fined inot submission. And we wonder why other countries think we have an arrogance problem. There is essentially little difference in either case, just one is more overt and the other is covert. Both cases are morally wrong, and currently there is little change in the American scene to give the US stand validity. We have to understand that as a world industrial leader, upcoming industrial countries look to our patterns to set their focus. What's happening in China is a reflection of what goes on here but in greater magnitude due to the larger population, and we are forgetting what we look like (to paraphrase St Paul).

Good point Prairiehawk. The Crucifix os my desk was a gift. from the www.Foodforthepoor.org bunch. But while I was home at lunch I looked at a few Catholic items in my house.Way too many of them (gifts and ones I have bought) came from China.

My next Rosary will be for the people of China (read leadership) to have a change of heart. And one will be especially for that poor mother that had her child ripped from her womb.

This is what we support when we buy any sort of Chinese-made goods. Remember when Wal-Mart used to put up big "Made in USA" signs next to American-made goods? I haven't seen those signs in a long time.

I do it too (buy Chinese stuff) and I don't know what the answer is. Maybe in a world that supports Planned Parenthood when you're buying a Dairy Queen sundae, there just isn't much you can do.

And this is the country our current President is borrowing money from?

This is horrible!

There are a thousand thoughts running through my head about this but I cannot get them in any "formation".

As I sat at my desk at work thinking of this I picked up the Crucifix I keep on it. I held it. I said a small prayer. Then I saw the words on the bottom. "Made in China"
