The Difference Gratitude Makes

As we approach Thanksgiving, it is good to begin to get ourselves in an attitude of gratitude.

Let’s start at the beginning.

 “Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth all kinds of living creatures: cattle, creeping things, and wild animals of all kinds.” And so it happened:

God made all kinds of wild animals, all kinds of cattle, and all kinds of creeping things of the earth. God saw how good it was.

Then God said: “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and the cattle, and over all the wild animals and all the creatures that crawl on the ground.”

God created man in his image; in the divine image he created him; male and female he created them.”   Genesis 1:24-27

Yes, I know this is familiar as can be. Someone once said, “A picture is worth a thousand words.” So a movie clip must be worth thousands of words. Take a minute and view this clip about a dog named “Skidboot,” and listen to how a man came to realize that God had given him a precious gift — that he almost threw away!

My grandfather used to have a little ditty he repeated to his grandchildren:

                                                ‘Taint no use to grumble and complain,

                                                It’s just as easy to rejoice;

                                                When God sorts out the weather and sends rain,

                                                Then rains my choice!

 Remember:  An attitude of gratitude will boost your altitude.
